Choose a packing scope that matches what remains
You can request help for selected belongings, one room or a larger household scope. Tell us what you will pack yourself and show us the contents that need attention. Photos of open cupboards and shelves give a clearer picture than a room name alone.
If the move is approaching and the original plan has changed, say how much remains unpacked. Adding a kitchen or several closets affects the work that must happen before loading.
- Rooms and specific items you want packed.
- Approximate quantity of contents and any delicate pieces.
- Boxes, tape and protective materials already available.
- Items that must remain accessible or travel with you.
Match the protection to the contents
Breakables need cushioning that separates them from each other and limits movement inside a sturdy box. Heavy contents need manageable boxes rather than one oversized carton. Tell us about glass, ceramics, artwork or unusual shapes so the packing needs can be reviewed.
Keep loose shelves, small fittings and accessories identifiable with the item they belong to. Original packaging and manufacturer instructions can be useful for electronics and specialized belongings. A fragile label supports clear handling instructions, but the contents still need appropriate protection.
Make labels useful at the new address
Use the room names you will have after the move. Add a short contents description and mark boxes you want accessible early. If several people have bedrooms or work areas, names or room numbers make the destinations clearer.
Identify the belongings that should remain unpacked before the crew begins. Personal essentials, keys and items you are carrying yourself should be kept together outside the agreed packing areas.
Understand the labor and material charges
Packing and unpacking are billable hourly work. Applicable materials are additional. The estimate should identify the requested packing scope and consider the amount and type of supplies needed.
Current material prices are below. The quantities depend on the belongings, so a room count alone is not a reliable material total.
- Small box: $6 each. Medium box: $8 each. Large box: $10 each.
- Moving blanket: $15 each.
- Tape: $5 per roll. Plastic wrap: $40 per roll.
Decide what unpacking help should accomplish
Unpacking can be requested for selected rooms or boxes. Tell us whether your priority is getting kitchen contents out, opening the boxes for a bedroom or handling another defined area. Explain where the contents should go and what you prefer to arrange yourself.
Unpacking uses time beyond unloading boxes into rooms. Include it in the original scope and identify any packaging cleanup you want discussed rather than assuming every finishing task is included.
Connect the packing appointment to moving day
Packing may be requested before the move or alongside the moving work, subject to the agreed scheduling. Share any container arrival, building move window or property deadline that controls when loading needs to begin.
Update us if the amount of unpacked belongings changes. Clear preparation details help keep the crew, materials and moving schedule aligned.
Before you book
Can you pack only my kitchen or fragile items?
Yes. Identify the cupboards, shelves or specific belongings you want help with and share photos where useful. Point out delicate or unusual pieces so their packing needs can be reviewed before the appointment.
Can I use my own boxes and supplies?
Tell us what you have and what needs packing. The supplies need to suit the contents and condition of the boxes. Any additional applicable materials are charged separately.
How many boxes will I need?
That depends on the amount, size and type of contents. A room full of books and a room with mostly furniture have different packing needs. Photos and a description of the loose belongings help make the material discussion more useful.
Should I seal the boxes I pack myself?
Have your packed boxes securely closed, clearly labeled and ready to carry. Identify fragile contents and any boxes needing attention. If you are unsure about a delicate item, ask before sealing it so the protection can be discussed.
Can packing happen on a different day?
Request both dates and explain when the home and transportation will be accessible. Packing and moving need agreed appointments and scopes. Availability is confirmed for the request.
Does packing automatically include unpacking?
No. Unpacking is available when requested as part of the scope. Tell us which rooms or boxes need attention and the placement you want. Its billable time needs to be included in the plan.
Will you pack everything in the garage?
Send a description of the garage contents before including them. Tools, equipment and ordinary boxed belongings need different preparation, and substances or unusual items require specific review. Do not place unknown or leaking products into the moving load.
What should I keep out of the packing areas?
Clearly separate belongings you need during the move, items you will carry personally and anything staying behind. Give those instructions during the walkthrough so the crew can follow the packing scope without guesswork.
