Loading help for the transportation you arranged
Tell us whether you have a rental truck, trailer or customer arranged container. Include its size, loading opening, available ramp and the date it will be accessible. Photos of a partly loaded vehicle are helpful when the work involves adding or rearranging belongings.
You arrange the vehicle, driving and any container delivery or collection. The crew handles the agreed loading or unloading scope. If you need IronAtlas transportation, choose movers with a truck instead.
A loading plan begins before the first item is carried
List the furniture and boxes, including what must come out first at delivery. A bed needed for the first night or boxes for a separate stop should be identified before loading starts.
Describe fragile surfaces, removable shelves and furniture that needs disassembly. Discuss blankets, wrap and securing materials in advance, including what you already have and whether those supplies will travel with your load. The right preparation depends on the items and the vehicle.
- Vehicle or container type, size and loading access.
- Inventory, approximate box count and unusually heavy pieces.
- Pickup and delivery floors, stairs and carrying distances.
- Supplies already available and any packing still required.
Unloading with a place for everything
Label boxes by destination room and put matching room names on a simple plan. Decide where the largest pieces should go before the crew arrives. This is particularly useful when bedroom names or floor layouts change between homes.
Share the complete path from the vehicle to the final room, including gates, thresholds, stairs and elevator arrangements. Mention furniture assembly or unpacking separately so the appointment allows for more than unloading.
Moving within your home or building
Labor only can also suit furniture moving between rooms or floors when no truck is needed. It can help with an apartment transfer in the same building or a room rearrangement involving pieces that are difficult to carry.
Give the starting and ending locations for every larger item. A short distance can still involve tight turns or awkward stairs. Heavy or unusual pieces require review even when they stay on the property.
Crew options and service minimums
Two movers are $140 per hour with a two hour minimum, a $280 minimum service charge. Three movers are $190 per hour with a two hour minimum, a $380 minimum service charge. Four movers are $240 per hour with a two hour minimum, a $480 minimum service charge.
The suitable crew depends on the furniture, access and amount of work. Packing, unpacking and applicable materials add to the agreed moving labor. The minimum applies even if a small unloading job finishes sooner.
Coordinate the appointment with vehicle access
Make sure the transportation is actually available when the work is scheduled. A container delivery estimate or a truck return deadline should be shared before the appointment is arranged.
Keep the loading route clear and have someone available to open the property and identify the belongings. If the vehicle delivery changes, contact us with the new information. A provider delay does not automatically change the moving appointment.

Will your crew drive my rental truck?
Labor only does not include transportation or a promise to drive your vehicle. You arrange the driving. Request truck included service if you want IronAtlas to provide the transportation along with the crew.
Can I book loading at one address and unloading at another?
Yes. Send both addresses and explain how the vehicle and crew access will line up. Include the full inventory and access at each location so both parts of the job can be considered.
Can you unload a container that has been delivered to my home?
Send the container type, location and delivery timing, plus the contents and route into the home. Confirm that it can be opened and accessed for the appointment. Any placement restrictions belong in the request.
Do I need to provide moving blankets and straps?
Tell us what you already have and what protection is needed for the load. Material arrangements should be agreed before loading, especially if supplies will travel with a vehicle you are driving. Applicable materials are charged separately.
Can you guarantee that everything fits in my rental truck?
The inventory and vehicle need review together. Share the vehicle size and the complete load before the appointment. An item count or bedroom count alone does not establish how much space is needed, and an unsuitable vehicle can change the plan.
Can you unload a truck that someone else packed?
Describe the load and share photos if possible, including any shifted items or damaged boxes. We need to know the condition and access before the work starts. Point out fragile items and anything unusually heavy.
Does the minimum apply to a move within the same room?
Yes. Labor only has a two hour minimum. The handling and access still need review, even when the move covers only a short distance and transportation is unnecessary.
